A teacher in Nepal harnesses a flood prediction tool to warn neighbors of impending disaster

USAID helps communities around the world better prepare for weather-related disasters by strengthening early warning systems. Watch the story of Keshav Prasad Kadel, a teacher and vice principal in Nepal’s Bagmati Province, who can now predict a flood roughly two days before it happens by using SERVIR’s flood prediction tool. “Sometimes, my neighbor calls me the weatherman,” Keshav says.
