From space to village empowering HKH communities
SERVIR
SERVIR is a joint initiative of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)to use satellite data and geospatial technologies to strengthen weather and climate resilience, agriculture and food security, ecosystem and carbon management, and air quality and health.
SERVIR activities are implemented by a global network of applied research organisations across four regional hubs in Africa, Asia, and Latin America that collaborate with communities of all sizes, from sub-national, to national, to regional, in the development of locally led solutions to the unique challenges faced in each region.

The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) implements the SERVIR Hindu Kush Himalaya (SERVIR-HKH) Initiative – one of five regional hubs of the SERVIR network – in its regional member countries.
